Hi, I'm Merve, a Turkish illustrator based in Cambridge, UK.
I graduated with distinction from the MA Children's Book Illustration program at Cambridge School of Art in 2025. I also have a background in graphic design and hold another master's degree in Education, specializing in instructional material design.
I place great importance on emotions, striving to create deep and meaningful characters that connect with readers and go beyond their own stories. My work often features people, nature, animals, and the nearly forgotten connections between them.
In my creative practice, I enjoy working with various mediums, particularly acrylic ink. I also incorporate monoprint techniques, create my own textures, and integrate these into my illustrations.
